Black screen?

Black screen?

when i'm playing games or watching a dvd on the ps3 every so often a black screen appears for a second then flickers back onto the game/dvd! does anyone know what this could be or had it happen to them? my warranty is nearly out so wondering if i shud send it back plus i bought it from woolworths so it'll need to go back to sony!

Hello,

i wonder ifyou can help me. i have recently bought a 32" Sony Bravia LCD 1080p and i am trying to connect my PS3 using the HDMI connection. when playing a dvd it works fine but when i put a game in the screen goes black and it then flashes up and says out of range. What is the problem?

i would be gratefull for your help.

What model of TV? What's the quality of the HDMI cable? Have you tried swapping it?

32v400 and the HDMI lead is a NASAKI one if that helps you.

The 32V4000 is not 1080p compatible (only 720p/1080i) so it sounds like the settings in the PS3 are sending out a 1080p signal when playing games. You need to reduce these in the PS3 setup menus. This should solve the problem.
