Hi,

We recently bought Skate on PS3 and when i exit from the game the screen says please wait, the ps3 bleeps quickly three times, waits a moment then either turns off or freezes on the please wait screen.

When this happens pressing the button on the front of the PS3 does nothing and the only option is to turn it off at the back. I know this shouldnt be done but it was the only option.

Obviously i dont want this to happen again so was looking to you guys for advice on the problem or is this has happened to anyone else.

i dont know about skate but when i turn off my ps3 by pressing the ps button whilst on home mine always beeps 3 times must crash or something

My nephews US 60GB PS3 started doing something similar yesterday too.

No matter what game (on disc / hardrive) or demo he plays as soon as he presses the PS button to exit game the system freezes and after a shortwhile it beeps 3 times and resets or it just freezes altogether. He turned it off completely overnight and tried again this morning but still has the same problem

Also my UK 60GB model froze the other day when exiting from burnout paradise but since then its been ok.

Could this have anything to do with a recent game or firmware update?

My nephew resolved his problem by doing a complete reformat. This does take about 3 hours or so but is worth it in the end!

thanks for that i will give it a go. ive got a new 350gb hard druve that i will put in the playstation so hopefully that should do the trick.
