Problem Adding a Friend

I'm having problems fully adding a friend.

Invite sent, received by friend, acknowledged. It said still pending response for quite a while after so we tried adding again from both sides.

Now, it no longer says awaiting response, but neither of us show up as online to each other when we're both online.

We can compare scores etc and send and receive messages instantly.

So why can't we see each other as online?

I've got other friends no probs, but this friend is a new PS3 but has all updates installed.

this means we can't invite each other to COD WAW etc

Cheers

Re: Problem Adding a Friend

Sometimes if someone adds me as a friend (im so popular ) and I accept, it can take 3 days max for them to show in my friends list. Happens usually with 1 in 10 friends for me. Dont know why.

I have a friend on my list with a similar problem.

I asked him how come he was never signed in when I knew he had been on it the night before, then one day he phoned me up and asked me about the update for COD5. I asked him how's he updating it when he's not online but he was.

I also went round his house and signed out of my PS3 as I left. 15 minutes later at his house I looked at his friends list and it showed me last online 3 hours ago!!

Every now and again he does show up online at my end. It's happening more often now.

I don't know how to solve the problem.

I've only ever added friends before who I'm not fussed how long it takes, but this guy is actually friend, I know what he looks like and everything!!!
So it sounds like if we wait a few days it might start working? What a load of crap?

Suppose you'll just have to wait and see, hope it works out.

I think it's 50, but I'm nowhere near that!

Re: Problem Adding a Friend

They increased the limit for friends in FW2.4 as far as I remember... Think it's 100 now, but don't quote me on that.

Sometimes it takes a while for friends to show as added on mine, can be quite annoying sometimes!
