Gameplay Sound Through Speakers and Voice Chat Through Headset?

Hi All,

I am a keen COD 4 & 5 online gamer but I have recently had a new adition to the family so I can no longer have it blarring out of my 5.1 setup. This means I have the the volume pretty low which is ok because I can still here the game sound but I just can't hear when people are talking to me.

So as you can probably guess from the title. Is it possible to have just the game sound through either my TV or 5.1 speakers and then have just the voice chat through a headset?

Thanks

You can change the output of the chat in the headset settings on the xmb.

It's in the manual

Will this not just change it so all sound comes out of the speakers or headset?

yep

don't get confused with audio output settings on the xmb.

You want settings -> accessory settings -> audio device settings

Yes - this is handy for keep the bad language from on-line chat away from the kids.
