High-Quality (HQ) mode, delivers clear and wide-band online voice chat. On top of that, an added on-screen indicator shows battery status, volume level and use of HQ mode.

that is all Sony have said about it, nothing on the protocol used.

Does anyone know if the headset available on its own anytime soon? I'd rather have Socom on my HDD then disc swapping (I know lazy lazy) so would need to get the headset seperatley.

Game have it as a pre-order for £29.99 but no date for when it will be released just yet.

just buy a usb extention cabe. Then you can recharge from much further away.

It's a trade-off of any research - will you actually get any result? is a non-result still progressing? what's the cost-benefit of resource use vs any discovery?

It's a personal issue for anyone, but i'm happy to burn a few dinosaurs if it helps research into Parkinsons and so on.

i'd be happy if the update let you shuffle photos. Not asking for much really. Surely they could use the code and shuffle icon from the shuffle music feature.....

No, it means when u use the Web Browser you can see Flash animations and load Flash based websites.

Apart from being quite slow, the only problems I've had with the PS3 browser is logging into my Play.com and Tesco accounts, something about session cookies, will the update sort this?

This is now a real problem as my PC has packed in!

Is it me, or do other people find it really annoying you have to wait for the download to er, download before you can use your PS3? Why cant you download in the background? It's cutting into my COD4 time!!

Looks like you're going to have to manually select Network Update for this one again, folks. Firmware 2.50 is now available for your PS3 and it includes these features:

The [BD/DVD Settings] option under [Settings] has been renamed as [Video Settings]

Also, multiple video content items can be now played in order. You can edit this option in [Video Settings] -> [Sequential Playback]

A scene search feature has been added to the [Video] category. You can easily select a scene that you want to watch. This feature can be accessed from [Scene Search] in the control panel that is displayed during video playback.

The [Sign Up for PlayStation Network] and [Account Management] options have been improved. You an now create and manage an account more easily.

A feature has been added that allows the PS3 system or wireless controller to turn off automatically when not used for a certain period of time. You can set this feature in [Settings] -> [Power Save Settings]
