Happy about the sequential movie playback, it is a partial solution but I still don't know why we don't get playlists. that way you could create a movie from all the little camcorder clips you have....but this will do for now I guess.....

Hit the nail on the head there. It's a pain having to wait for the install.

It could be so you can make sure you have enough space to install the file and gives you time to make the space when needed, saves having to wait for the install and then finding out it cant because there isn't the room, but then again i guess you would check before downloading so i dunno .

Also you may be using the PS3 for other things (for example watching a movie) while downloading things in the background so you wouldn't want to be interrupted by an automatic install kicking in when the download completes. Obviously if the install could also run in the background then it would be beneficial, but this may not be possible due to OS limitations.

re: Firmware 2.50 Out Now

I'm all for a Flash 9 support for the web browser but it really needs speeding up too. It's sooooo slow it's unbelieveable. I'm guessing the patch will be out tomorrow as they need the patch for the official headset which is out this week in the US

Why cant they just use something like Firefox, as it's free I'm sure something could be agreed.

re: Firmware 2.50 Out Now

When players acquire a Trophy, the in-game notification will now include the specific Trophy icon created by the developer, while more intuitive options for comparing Trophies with friends have been added, including an icon to represent the Trophy level. The Trophy system will continue to expand through future firmware updates, catering to the PS3 community and the competitive nature of the more than 12 million registered PlayStation Network users worldwide.

The Information Board will be able to include direct links to PlayStation Store, making it easier for PS3 owners to download content that they read about on the Information Board.

Just press triangle on the 'received' or 'sent' folder and use the delete option to delete all messges. If you want to keep a particular message, use the protect option and it will not be deleted.

re: Firmware 2.50 Out Now

Yeah just a little reminder folks, now would be a good time to do a quick back up of your game saves, I always stick them on a memory stick before a fimware update.
