US 80GB Playstation 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 Pack 220v?

Hi Guys,

Very interested in getting the new 80GB PS3 pack that comes with MGS4 in the USA.

I previously had the launch US 60GB PS3 that I bought on a previous business trip to the USA but gave it to my cousin as a gift. Now with MGS4 i need another PS3.

My question is, does anyone know if this PS3 SKU will have a Universal power supply like the 60GB PS3's. My previous US PS3 used to work fine on the UK's 220v without a power converter. Anyone have the previous motorstorm 80GB pack or recently bought a US PS3?

Afaik all PS3s have a universal power supply. Never read of any intention to change that in the more recent SKUs so you should be fine

I have a US 80GB PS3 and it runs fine with a 220V kettle lead. All PS3's run fine no matter where they are from
