Quite possibly the best website I've seen for ages.

Ok we all know iplayer don't work through the PS3 browser but fear not we have a better alternative

You need a decent connection (2 meg+)
UK users only, although if you get a friend to set up a login it seems to work on foreign IPs

of course can be used on Pc also

only thing i'v noticed that on PS3 browser it won't go fullscreen like on PC,

Just trying it out now on my Mac. Seems to work fine. Site is a bit confusing.. I mean, it lets you record things, yet, it records everything anyway, apparently and lets you watch it after th eevent. Im a bit confused by that. Also, how legal is this? And how come they have less restrictions than the BBC themselves!? Puzzled.

I doesnt record everything the recorded shows are ones that people have recorded

For example if a show has only been recorded by one person and they delete it it then gone forever

Great site though, i cant see how its legal though as a number of shows are not on bbc iplayer or 4od due to licencing restrictions

Yeah I'm confused as well, why would you set anything to record when you can just go to recordings and it lists everything that's been on anyway and you can watch it from there. Also it says you have 10GB of storage for recordings, is that on their servers or space on my PC? Doesn't seem to be much info on the site for newbies to explain how it works but on the face of it looks very promising!

EDIT: So what happens if more than one person records the same programme? Surely there'd be no point doing that then...

It gets recorded once, if two people flagged it to be recorded

If one deleted it the program stays on the site until both select to delete or 30 days are up

Everything streams from their servers

I can't see why not to be honest. If the porgrams are free to air and not from SKY or VIRGIN then it will be. You could get done for no TV license but I think that would be it.

Quality is no worse than the Flash version of teh BBC iPlayer. In fact, some programmes look better.

Does anyone know if there is an alternative for those not currently living in the UK?

Am in The Netherlands and the sire recognises that my IP is outside the UK so I cannot logon.

Any ideas of other sites or ways round this?

Swooshboy, I think you just need to do a search for MyTh TV backend servers (or front end) as this is exactly the same.........

On a PC on the default window size - its OK - but on the PS3 zoomed in (note - it appears to be impossible to select the full screen icon on the flash plugin) - its far from ideal

But then again, this is what we get from Flash based video players - they're convenient - but don't present a decent enough quality yet.

just tried this on pc and wireless thru to ps3,on both seems out of sync on every recorded program ive tried,this is through a 20mb connection any one else have same probs,great find by the way cheers.

I see in the terms agreement that you have to have a valid tv license, otherwise you obviously wouldn't agree to the terms

LOL what the hell is the problem with the UK goverment wanting to control everything everyone does. God dam this site wernt breaking any laws. I know sites where you can view sky channels and they have been running for years. O well i dont live in UK any more but feel sorry for people who do.
