Hi All

Can i update to 1.6 without connecting the PS3 to my plasma.

Reason being is that i do not have broadband at home and was wondering if i could update at my mates house and then connect everything all up when i get it home.

download update on your mate's pc, and copy it onto a flashdisk or burn it on a disc. You can go back to home and connect flashdisk to PS3 or put disc into PS3 to perform the update procedure.

Hi,

Could you not just connect the console to your mates TV using the supplied AV cable and update the console that way?

I had mine delivered to work, so I connected it up to a 14" portable with the supplied cable while doing the update. Took it home at the end of the day and plugged it into the Plasma via HDMI - all good.
