Red face My PS3 Saga Continues...

Good Morning everyone,

I have a story to share with you regarding my PS3 or lack of one that is. I decided to pre order one from Amazon Uk after they got another stock allocation, here is were it gets complicated, i tried to log in under my e-mail and password, to my shock it was not working i tried again and no luck. So in the end i decided to create a new account, i set it up and ordered a PS3 Great i thought, Then the pre launch worry started to come in, so i decided to cancel my PS3 as march is a very expensive month for me. So i logged on to Amazon and to my suprise my account loaded up and no PS3 order. After much checking i have realised that i have entered my e-mail in wrong and order the PS3 through a dummy e-mail.

So i contact Amazon and i get the usual stuff that we cannot give any order info out about other e-mail address. So here we are on Monday the 26th No ps3 yet as i chose the super saver delivery and no money from my account has been taken.

What do i do??

If I were you, I'd:

1. Cancel my order(s) with Amazon
2. Sign up with a virgin credit card
3. Bust a groove into town and pick one up at Virgin with a 10% discount for using that card.
4. Pay off bill in a couple of days with the money that was aside for the amazon order.

oh and
5. Play, play, play!!!

Valid Points but the problem is that i cannot gain access to the account as i spelt my e-mail wrong.

Re: My PS3 Saga Continues...

Im sorry but I dont see the problem here. You havent received it and you havent had the money taken out. So go and buy one from elsewhere and then send back the Amazon one if it comes.

Maybe he hasn't recieved it due to no funds being taken out, Also to the op you said you set up a new account and then canceled the order, so I think you'll be waiting a long time for it to come Ona serious note I wouldn't wait about, pop into town and pick one up today, forget about amazon. It's not cheaper than on the high street is it?

I think you won't have a ps3 order if you cancelled it

Oh right I mis-interpreted what you said above. What I would do is call up amazon and explain the situation, they will be able to sort it out.

Already tried mate, they want none of it, their official response was that because i was contacting them from a different e-mail that they could not give me the info. I replied back basically saying that the address details are the same the card details i could even tell them the password but they never got back to me, very poor customer service.

That is bad, half the people on customer service lines are useless. One of the reasons I never order online due, to hassle, returning goods, waiting for delivery etc. At least when you go to a shop you pick it up and it's done, any problems and you return it. Maybe just buy from a shop and forget about amazon, if they haven't charged you already chances are they won't.

Re: My PS3 Saga Continues...

Well i have mailed Amazon Here is what i put, need to get some answers

Good Morning,

I am writing in regards to the very poor customer service i have got from your company, i like many people pre ordered a playstation 3 from yourselves. I tried to log in to your service to pay for the item and my details would not go through, at the time i believed what i was putting in was correct, it turns out i had wrongly inputted my e-mail details, which is my fault and i am not blaming you for. The rest of the account details were the same as the e-mail above, the address, card details and the name it was in. I contact your customer service team to ask for assistance in getting the e-mail address i inputted, i offered to confirm all the other details i ould even advise you of the password on the account. I was met with what looked like an automated response. I then wrote again to get this resolved and my second query was never answered. So thier is an account with my card details and address on your system that i cannot gain access to due to a simple keying error, i think this level of service is dreadful, working in customer service myself i understand thier are rules of data protection, but just looking on the account you will be able to see that it is my account. We are now at the 27th March i have no PS3 and money has not been taken i would like to know where the PS3 is that i ordered and what you can do about this poor level of service you have provided. I have ordered from you before and had no problems and i would like to order from you again but this whole experience has put me off the Amazon Brand.
