How to add funds to account ?
I've read that this is possible but have been completely unable to do add funds to my HK account. I have cards registered in the UK, and have completed both residential and billing information under my account as
Real Name
Real Street Address
Real Town Name
Hong Kong
Aberdeen
Hong Kong
However I've now tried a couple of cards (master cards) and get an invalid card details error. Am I adding funds at the wrong place ?
Can people that have done this successfully tell me exactly what they did as I want Tekken 5 DR ?

Re: How to add funds to account ?
Haved you tried using a Visa card ? How much are you trying to add ? When I did it I added two increments of $80 HK. If you're trying to add a larger amount that might be why. The way I did it was to add funds in the account management section.

Re: How to add funds to account ?
I purchased lemming the other day with a mastercard took me a few minutes to add the funds and complete transaction.

Re: How to add funds to account ?
When I go into Transaction Management > Manage Wallet > Add Funds > Credit Card, I get asked if I want to fund my wallet. I continue and get asked how I'll add funds so choose a credit card and hit continue, I then get shown the billing address which matches the residential address I created of
Real Name
Real Street Address
Real Town Name
Hong Kong
Aberdeen
Hong Kong
and then hit continue again but just get "The credit card information is not valid. Please check your entries carefully"
I can't even get to the stage where I'd add actual amounts of money so it's got nothing to do with actual amounts, as I can't get past setting up the card to start with.
Am I doing things differently to everyone else as this is the only way I can see to do this ?
Do I have to create my residential address as one that exists in Hong Kong or am I right in using the first 3 lines of my real address ?
I have tried 2 different mastercards and a visa card and this is starting to make me

Re: How to add funds to account ?
Same is happening to me, i think they might've closed this hole now.
I tried while using the same issuing bank card as another member on this board with the same state/zip code for the US and same bits for the HK account and it didn't work.
So its not just you

Re: How to add funds to account ?
do not chnage your address to the one you signed up with, just put in your card details and when it says billing address just keep the same as what is there.
Worked on the uS for me not tried HK yet.

Are you saying to use the fake address details as the billing address details ?
For example, I signed up to the HK account with my own address for the 1st 3 lines and then just Hong Kong, Aberdeen at the end.
For my US account I signed up with the address of a hotel but have yet to try and enter any billing information.
According to that what exactly should be used as the billing address for
1. The HK account
2. The US account
And should I change the residential address in the HK account to a real address over there or leave it as my own address for the 1st 3 lines.

i am not saying use incorrect billing addy, well in a way there is no way around it even if you try to put your real address in it will always be incorrect so i just left mine. Iam currently staying in a hotel in the USA

Re: How to add funds to account ?
STill works fine on US + HK stores for me, added some funds yesterday to both to check for someone else.
In account management.. billing info i put my mastercard info in there, then as much of my address as i can enter (without postcode) in the address fields. then that's it.
Go to wallet transactions, then add funds in the lowest denomination it'll allow
works fine for me
Bought gripshift last night

i used the address of a hong kong drug rehab center for both billing and residential address and it worked fine for me first time i had to add the lowest amount but after that all amounts could be added!

Re: How to add funds to account ?
Managed to add funds to my US account, but I used my amex card for that which I am unable to use with the HK store. I had my residential and billing addresses both set as a hotel in New York. I added funds in 2 x $10 instalments followed by $25. Now when's more stuff going to be in the US store ?
Just a shame the funds don't transfer between the HK and US wallets.

Re: How to add funds to account ?
I'm having trouble with this too. Managed to create a US account no problem and add my credit card details by inputting my street address and putting 90210 as my zip and California as my location. Tried tonight to create a new Master Account for the HK store, added the same street address and put Hong Kong and Aberdeen. Then I got to a screen to put in my credit card details, told it the same billing address and then it told me the card details weren't correct. Tried to tell it my billing address was different and enter them again and it failed again. I tried with both a Visa and a Mastercard but with no joy.
Do we think they've closed the loophole - or is there something else I can try? Perhaps skipping the billing part at this point and adding funds later?

Re: How to add funds to account ?
You can still create the HK account by skipping the billing section, but I don't know if we'll ever be able to add funds as no cards that either you or I have are working .
I just hope there will be points cards released at somepoint, and I'm sure we'll be able to use them so long as we import them.
Just find it strange I managed to add funds to my US account but just can't with my HK one. If only the HK store accepted amex

Re: How to add funds to account ?
I have absolutley no luck in adding a HK account. I live in the UK and have a US bank account so was able to easily set the US account up.
I could not get the HK account to accept my UK HSBC mastercard or my US VISA, just using the methods explained above...
Is it possible they have blocked these accounts from starting up or adding funds?
I want Tekken! Why can't they release it worldwide at the same time?

Re: How to add funds to account ?
I'll give this a try later and report back, I've got a US account setup but not a HK one so I'll do that and try and add some money

Re: How to add funds to account ?
I've had a word with my bank and I think I know what may be happening here.
When you sign up for a service like this the shop will usually try and authorise a small amount against your card to ensure it is valid for future transactions. Simply speaking there appear to be two steps to this in Sony's process - first it will validate that the formatting of the card is correct, and then it will go off and ask your bank if the card can accept a debit of a small amount.
I've just spoken to my bank and they have an authorisation for something like 'toys, hobbys, games' for 51 pence from the other day against my card, which at current exchange rate will more than likely be a $1 authorisation from the US PS3 store I signed in. Sony is happy at this point and of course doesn't take the money. And from the sounds of it they don't do further checking until you try and add a large value amount.
However, the bank have no failed authorisations from my attempts to sign into the HK store. I'm not familiar with the formatting of a HK card, or what exaclty is being validated against this, but the bank reckon that if they haven't declined an authorisation then it is likely that the format of the card is failing because it isn't recognised as a HK format. It could be anything from the amount of digits, to a different way of doing a security number or even the date I suppose.
I would guess that in the past this format check was not taking place, but at some point recently Sony have changed the system and now it is. My plan had been to ask the bank to authorise Sony Store HK on my credit card account if a request came in with slightly wrong address details (I doubted they would have done - but thought it worth a shot!) but as it isn't getting even that far I can't see a way round this one.
Does anyone have any experience of HK (or even Japanese cards) to see if there's anything to my theory?
