PS3 connecting to netgear wg602 .... ?

Hello,

At the moment my PS3 is connecting to a netgear wg602 and when trying to play Modern Warfare 2 with friends, i get 1 red bar signal strength, therefore lagging like crazy.

Is there anyway, like a step by step guide as to what i can do in the router settings to allow my PS3 to connect online and make the game playable?

At the moment when i try and search for games through multiplayer i can't find any games.

If it helps im connecting wireless and at the moment i have around 90% signal strength and Nat type is failed.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Morning,

firstly have you tried a wired connection for your PS3, it is a much better way of connecting to the internet? If this is not possible then consider using home plugs. If your not sure what these are then just search this forum for numerous posts.

Finally you could try placing your PS3 in the DMZ, this solved alot of issues for me, its not as difficult as it sounds, click on the below link for a step by step guide GUIDE: PUT YOUR PS3 IN A DMZ
