Voice Issues with Official PS3 Headset

Hi

My and my pal just got ourselves the sony ps3 headset after going throgh numerous reviews.

For that price and quality, it seems like a good buy.

We tested it out on modern warfare 2 and encountered some in game chat issues.

My voice breaks up and gets muffled on his side, whereas i hear him loud and clear.

In private chat in XBM, no problems at all.

I read that such issues can be cause by game lag, but im not sure why this problem only occurs on his side.

Is there a way to rectify this?

Is he using WiFi?

Could be interfering with the Bluetooth which uses the same frequencies. Generally they co-exist OK but I have seen occasions where doing heavy internet access on my laptop (over WiFi) seemed to mess up the dual shock controller (which uses bluetooth) on the PS3.

(I have my PS3 connected via ethernet cable to the router)

Yes he is on wifi while i'm wired.

Is there anyway to solve this? like different channel for his wifi or something?
