Exclamation Need to re-redownload a video you bought.......too bad!!

Just read this

PlayStation 3 video DRM: two strikes and you're out

and apparently if you've bought and downloaded a movie then deleted it to make some HDD space you can only download it once more (According to the article) and then you're stuck.

If you want to download the movie a third time you have to buy it again!

And the re-download has to be a 'courtesy' of Sony, it's not that you can just go back and re-download it yourself.

Nice! Will definitely be taking advantage of the wonderful video store now!

I will personally only use the store to rent movies, as their purchase prices are too high in comparison to high street DVD/Blu Ray prices.

Due to the above, I probably wont be affected by the limited downloads. However, if prices were lowered & became more reasonable then maybe this would be a greater cause for concern for me.

To be honest I doubt I'll even rent anything at the prices on the video store... With a little less greed on the prices it could be hugely successful but they seem to have shot themselves in the wallet...

Yeah but can't you copy the file off your device and back it up externally as Marlin DRM technically allows this?
