How do i connect my ps3 to pc speakers, with a rca adapter?

All i have is a rca adapter : this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/..._ya_oh_product, i'm using dvi to hdmi for video to my lcd monitor

TIA

cant connect it in my monitor because it the audio port was put at the back, making it impossilble for the red and white rca cables to go in.. only option to get sound ia by plugging it into the tv (which works, but is useless if you start watching tv) so looking to plug it in to either my 2.1 surround sound speakers or normal pc ones (preferable) with the material i have. Is it possible?
