That's if it comes out by June. Knowing Criterion's track record, the Island was going to come out September 2008 originally

Not really bothered about the trophies, i just wanna know how much they're going to rip us off for it.

My guess is £20/£25.

Nah, I don't think it will be that steep, considering that you can get the game from the PSN store for £25, and on disc for around £15.
I would say the Island will be £15 max, but actually, who knows, judging by how expensive the Toy Cars were, you may be right

I agree with you there Del boy £10 is about my limit for the island i don't see anything that would make it worth more than that.

I think a tenner is too much to be honest. The C&R download in my opinion cost too much as well. I had a few quid left in my PSN account and bought one of the cars for about £1.50, thats my limit. But losing my job and joining the dole has turned me into a grumpy old tight arse.

Only ten free burn chalenges seems a bit poor, at least the bike updated came with 50.

Not going to take long to get bored with the new island and if it costs as much as some people recon I may have to give this one a miss as well.

I'd expect it around the 12.99 mark and out early to mid june. If the trophies are visible then the update can't be far behind. The cops and robbers trophies appeared a couple of weeks before the update.

I'll probably get the island anyway, have got all the other trophies and just working towards the 101% for the car and bike licenses.

As for 10 challenges you have to bear in mind the size of the island. The bike challenges had the whole of paradise city available. This has to fit the challenges in an area thats around the size of the downtown paradise area.

Not necessarily, they could be challenges that linked Paradise City and the Island together, e.g. things like "land 2 super jumps around Paradise City, and land 2 jumps on Big Surf Island".
OK, that's not a very good example, but they could have done things like that.

Looks good - though with the 8 cars included gives me a bad feeling about the price point.

Heres hoping they dont go silly with the price

I think it will be about £15-£20 actually given the prices they have charge so far.

but look at the other packs - eg the full toy car pack which if i remember correctly had 8 cars and a bike for a tenner - with this "premium download" you are getting 9 cars plus the island - I cant see them charging the same for this.

I think they have pitched it all wrong - Ive only bought 1 car in all of the recent downloads (and then only due to bullying by my son!) and i was a pretty big fan of htis game. If htey had priced it at a more sensible level i most likely would have bought all of the add on packs but instead all they got was a couple of quid from me.

I'm a mug though. I'll probably buy unseen up to Fifteen quid.
Anything over that and I'll need know it's worth it.

New trailer looks cool. I'd be surprised to see 9 brand new cars and would expect the other 8 to be variants of existing cars, like the carbon cars. In the trailer it looked like one was the hunter olympus. The dust storm looks like fun though.

Hopefully I can get the challenges polished off in the three weeks before it comes out!

I really don't want it to be too expensive though, I have the US version of Burnout and that's only $20 on the PSN store, so I can't imagine it being more than $15, which will be around £12 here I think.

I blame EA for the high pricepoints, they used the game as an experiement in the first year with all the free DLC and now they want to make some money.

Having said that I'll still pay for the Island regardless of the price, Criterion are my new favourite devs and this is my favourite game this gen.

I think it will be £10.99 and the game will update aswell, so that those who don't buy it can see the Island in game.
