As for it possibly being April 08, I don't think so, as they first mentioned planes after that.

I think the Planes rumor is for real!! Have a look at Episode8 and one of the guys being interviewed actually dropped (maybe by mistake) that they'll be planes. Rough Quote "as you know there's now going to be other vehicles coming like the bikes and planes"

So let's see!!!

Yep, and I'm still here waiting for something!

If my I.T. coursework isn't finished for tomorrow when it has to be handed in, I'm blaming Criterion, I'll tell my teacher to take the matter up with them

yeah - its all a little strange. Obviously not forgotten about given the twitter postings - maybe it got pulled at the last minute for some reason.

Of course, if it was a wind up, we will never know what they had planned (till next year of course!)

They seem to have removed it from their website's FAQ - there was a section saying about an exciting announcement on April 1st about planes, but that's not there anymore.

just visited the criterion games website & looked at the burnout video there is gameplay of a plane!!!

planes were muted a long time ago, around the time the island was first announced. Nobody knows if they will ever release them, they did say at the time that it was just something they were trying out.
