Burnout Paradise v1.7 Update has shipped early in some locations

In some territories our latest Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 update, Burnout Paradise v1.7 has shipped early!

Available to everyone from Thursday 19th February, this update brings the brand new Legendary cars to your in-game Burnout Store and the Burnout Junkyards. You can head over there to view them in detail, but you won't be able to buy the new cars until the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Marketplace update on Thursday.

If you've received this patch (Update 1.70) you'll only be able to connect online with other people who also have it, so it may seem like there are less people playing today. Don't worry though - there's just a day to wait until everyone updates to the same version, and you can finally experience the new cars.

very surprised, i thought the last update would include all the cars already

Or the whole bundle at £6.29

A complete rip-off in my opinion.

Seen reports of it now being live ... and custom sound tracks are back in the online options

Have the fixed the bloody barrel roll "fiasco".

Although having said that, I haven't played it since the change. How are people finding the changes. Good? Bad? Do you get used to them?

I restarted the game from scratch when the last patch came out to see what its like (and to get the trophies!) and to be honest I think the changes are fine. The billboards are a bit "in your face" but the other changes/tweaks are not an issue - the barrel roll is not an issue at all. If you want to do a single its easier, but if you want more its as tricky as it was previously.

You just kinda get used to them, the changes that were made are a lot more subtle than everyone originally thought (well in my opinion anyway lol) although still think the billboards are well fugly

Cool. Time to update and try it out myself then I guess. Now Oblivion is done away with, let's dust off that copy of Burnout.

So, I installed the 1.7 patch.

THEN bought the cars.

But the game reckons I don't own them.

when you go to a junkyard you should get:
Paradise Cars
Paradise Bikes
Legendary Cars

If not, restart the game... same happened to me

Aye. Got the list of cars. But the cars themselves show as X and it says 0 of 4 owned?

When you click on them, it opens up the store and offers to sell them to you...

And to another poster, no, it still nannies you through barrel rolls.
