And nothing has been said on what the Manhattan Spirit does. All we know is some "fun stuff" happens when you press L3.
OK the others are hardly in the same league as the Jansen but at least they do "something" |
The Spirit seems to have working lights and a siren that sounds a bit (but not much) like the Ecto 1 siren...
The Nighthawk also has a scanner light on the back for some reason. Not entirely sure why but ho-hum. Oh, and the scanner lights are light blue instead of red.
My problem with all of these cars are they really don't give anything new to the game. Even the 88 falls into this category, it doesn't really hover, it just drives much like a normal car with an airbag under it when you land (according to the podcast anyway). They're far too expensive for what they are and I personally wouldn't put either the Spirit or Nighthawk in the 'legendary' cateogry. The old KITT possibly, most definately NOT the new one. And while Ecto 1 is kinda cool they never did anything with it really, it's hardly famous for being in car chases.
What really hurts though is I'd be more than happy to give Criterion some of my hard earned dosh for DLC after all they've done. But I refuse to fork out for overpriced content which seems to have been priced purely to take advantage of those thinking 'but but but they've given us so much for FREE how can you complain?'. Hopefully the new island is going to be a decent price and I can chuck 'em some cash for that instead.
