Re: Party Pack released today

Its up on Xbox live at 800 points- I think thats roughly £6.50-£7??

I'm guessing it will be £6.99 on PSN, but I'm hoping it will be £4.99!

Edit: its up now at £7.99.

BTW: Party pack download is just 100kb, so the actual update includes the party stuff and this is just an activation......i wonder if the rest of the cars etc are already in this update?

Surely they'd have to be.. Else if you were freeburning with someone who had the extra cars you wouldn't be able to see them?!...

I bought it last night too. Is it worth it? Well only the person that buys it can answer that, if you are likely to play with a couple of people at home then its a decent purchase.

The kids like it as the rounds are short and generally quiet easy to play. You can choose the number of players and number of rounds to complete, also the type of challenges. Some of the challenges can be very easy (eg. make a jump off the cliff), others can change the type of jump (eg. make a barrel roll off the cliff, but crash the landing ... actually harder than I thought!!). It can be frustrating when the really easy ones are asked as everyone wins (I would prefer it to rank your jump ... based on your spin, or distance jumped etc). There are some good speed tests (race around the E train without touching the walls ... drift as far as possible on uphill road without crashing/touching the walls). The randomness of the events is fairly good (we only played the same event twice in the first hour of the game).

I like it, and my kids are gonna love it (in fact my daughter and I played for about 60 mins yesterday, and we got most of the new trophies during that time ... only 8 player with 8 rounds left to complete !!)

Re: Party Pack released today

Can someone confirm that this allows you to race against a friend using two controllers on one console in split-screen mode? It sounds a bit as though their version of multiplayer means taking it in turns to try the same thing, which may be fun but is a copout!

Re: Party Pack released today

Yeah I was quite dissappointed as well! The reason given was that BP is too big and complex to make it split screen - and the open nature doesn't make that easier as well.

I might just endup purchasing

when you choose the number of players, before you select the number of rounds press down and it will highlight player1, from there you can rename the player and if you have a camera plugged in after typing a name it will prompt you for a photo..

Re: Party Pack released today

I brought this yesterday, and want to say what brilliant fun it is. Assuming you already have burnout!

Three mates and myself played this for a couple of hours last night with a few beers. It has become our new favourite party game.

If you are looking for a game to play with a few mates, look no further. One good session and it has paid for its self.

The challenges are fairly well mixed at you don't have to be great at the game.

It's not giving me the trophy for doing it with 8 players. I have tried it about 5 times now.

Very strange, i got it without a problem when i did it with my bro, just set 8 players & set if to go over 8 rounds & got the trophy when complete with no probs. Maybe backup ur save game & try it on a new game, or delete the game data & re-download it
