Just been reading the podcast and the party mode does not look like it's going to offer split screen multiplayer! The multiplayer option offered is where each person has a different go at a challenge individually.

This is kinda dissapointing really as I was hoping for split screen which I would happily pay for.

yep, afraid so.. its always been the case it would be pass the controller type play. the official excuse is because the game world is too big and complicated to create two windows into it with split-screen. although seeing as they always said there would never be a restart and now in the next update voila.....well... you never can tell.........

Hmm not sure I'll be buying it now. Maybe if it's sub £5 I would but I don't see myself using the party mode at all. Would much rather play split screen when mates are around.
Looks like I'll have to get WipeoutHD now as correct if if I'm wrong but it's the only split screen racer out there (until GT5 comes out tho)

GT5 Prologue (x2) and Motorstorm 2 (x2-x4) are splitscreen
