"Flatspin" how the hell do i do one?!?!?

Iv just started the game, and i want the Flatspin trophy, but can seem to land one...im struggling with all tricks really...

any help would be great

Press square as your about to leave a ramp, and keep it pressed to continue flat spinning

Don't worry it took me a little while to figure out as well

yeah, i'll try that...do i need to press left or right as im doing it??

also, do you know if thers a site that tells me how to do other trophies, like the "power park your car" etc? be nice if a guide was posted somewhere

No mate you don't need to press left or right while your doing it, your car will just spin automatically when you press and hold square.
I don't think there's a site with guide's on or anything, although you could try Youtube, as I know people have put video's of themselves doing stunts on there.
As for the how to "power park your car" you need to find two parked cars, (there are loads of them down the side streets). You then need to drive upto them and handbrake into the gap between them, Russ Swift style

It's kinda in the middle of the map, can't miss it really it's huge.

I haven't played CoD4 really since the early days of the clan, too many ppl take it waaay too seriously so I chopped it in for Bad Company

Right I've been all over the city looking for the perfect spot to do this and found it. There is a carpark on the corner of Hamilton & Young, opposite a junkyard....right next to the carpark is a pretty hefty ramp.

Took me 3 attempts, first 178 degrees, then 179....was getting a little ****** off....then hit 193 on the third attempt

Jumping of the damn got me about 290 degrees and there is a place up in the mountains that got me over 300 degrees

I must have done over 360 degrees at one point as thats one of the paradise awards but because Ive deleted my old save i cant remember how much ive got - will have to wait till I get my platinum trophy then I can reload my old save back on again

I did think originally the dam would be best as I said earlier in the thread but thought a ramp would be needed....obviously not!!

you need to pick a good stunt class car.. just as you hit the edge of the ramp hit the hand brake and hold the stick hard right or left at the same time... with a good car off the top of the dam 500 or more should be achievable. getting over that requires a slightly more advanced trick....

iv had a few goes...still cant do it. 360 is hard, did u all do it with a car that u picked up l8r in the game??

also, whats the deal with the gillette fusion van???

I did the 180 in the Hunter you get at the very start

I have done a 480 odd degree flat spin at the airfield. If you hit the hanger ramp just right after a long run up you get loads of spin and height. Any stunt car should do it.

done over a 300 spin now thanks lads, i did it easy at dam area up on top of the steal grated section. cheers

Whats the best car to do a 360 flatspin can only do a 190 need more than 360 for one of the achievements

I think it does depend on what Stunt Car you use. Does for me. Buggered if I can do a 360 in a GT Flame. But I did mine using the Touge Criterion. Just head off to the Quarry - some nice jumps there. Get up some serious speed, hand-brake a decent distance from the edge of the jump so you're spinning fairly fast when you leave the jump, and continue holding the steering stick to the left or right (depending on which way you decided to flatspin) throughout the jump.
