Oh I am on Virgin Media 4MB Broadband, I read somewhere on the GT5P forums that people with 10MB+ are having no problems with online.
Yup, got an email too from the developers, seems the connection problems will be solved in patch V2

At least we are lucky with this generation of consoles as bugs and faults can be put right via internet downloads.
In the old days you bought a game and if it had faults you were knackered.
I cant see much of a problem if you get a game developed by devs like Eutechnyx who are prepared to listen to gamers and do there best to help and improve there game.
There are lots of big developers out there who could not care less after you bought there buggy games.

I find these two corners are the most important - you have to take them flatout, no braking, no lifting off the throttle to get into the 25/26s. The second corner you should turn in early, the car will be on the edge but it'll settle down once it hits the kurb on the exit.

Braking is vital too

Slow in, fast out. If you can get the rear of the car to step out a little under braking you can use it to glide through the corners while feathering the throttle.

We have fixed this issue but unfortunately it has required a code update and will therefore be released with Patch V2. Our current estimate is that it will be available around the end of August, early September.

Full details of Patch V2 will be made available over the next few days.

Sorry for any inconvenience and once again, thanks for your patience and continued support.

Re: Ferrari Challenge - Preview/Play & Help Thread

I returned to this game yesterday to try out the F355 Berlinetta I unlocked doing the main challenge mode, although I am finding it incredibly difficult to use because using the cockpit view I have no idea how fast I am going or what gear I am in.

Anyway, I am pretty sure I have used this car in other games before, but never quite like this one. Is the engine sound supposed to sound like "The Clangers" talking to each other? I mean, is this the realistic engine sound or made up?

What I find interesting is people saying how the engine should sound like! It's more like oh Pavarotti is cool but he needs to sing with Britney's voice!! Common guys this game has as realistic sounds as the real cars can make if you don't like it simple just don't go to a Ferrari store and don't waste money with a Ferrari that's what I do lol!!!

You've got me confused! Lol!

Anyway some of the sounds in the game are very odd, for example, collisions sound like two shopping trolleys banging together.

I was thinking you were saying about the sound of the engine which as real as it gets! but those sounds like collisions I'm not sure gonna have to watch the series and hope to see a same collision (safe) and hear the sound lol!!!

Re: Ferrari Challenge - Preview/Play & Help Thread

anyone else found that there's a bug in the tutorial leaderboard.I got an average of 90.5% last night which would have put me 30th. On the leaderboard i am down as 85.21% amongst scores of 75%...Weird. Whether this is due to my previous completed gamesave not loading and having to start over again, i do not know, but it's annoying !.I think my best score on my old save was 85.21%, but why is it in the wrong position on the leaderboard.?

Re: Ferrari Challenge - Preview/Play & Help Thread

Can anybody recommend a good, not too expensive, sterring wheel to use with the PS3? Preferrably wireless.
Been looking/searching around but not having much joy. I'd also like one where you can turn the wheel almost all the way around as I've read some will only turn so far.
Thanks chaps.

I think this is the only wireless wheel you can get for the ps3 and its very expensive.

http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=210

The original reproduction of a 911 leather steering wheel gives you the genuine Porsche feeling
Wireless USB technology which provides latency free signal transmission to the PC/Console and is very robust against interference (Power supply to wheel still needed)
3 Force Feedback motors and smooth belt drive deliver sensational realism
Authentic wireless pedals with clutch and soft-stop brake
Two gear sticks included: 6+1 Speed H-pattern and sequential
Compatible with PC and Playstation 3 (6+1 gear stick is only supported on PC and Playstation 3)

Thanks but balls to that. Too much for just casual playing.
I will have to find a wired one that does similar but only want to pay £50-60 as I just can't justify paying more.

Re: Ferrari Challenge - Preview/Play & Help Thread

You can often pick up the old driving force pro for around the £50-60 mark. That's a good wheel with 900 degree rotation and force feedback. It's not wireless but is a good wheel if you don't want to spend too much. I use the G25 wheel, which is the best one available at the moment but you're looking at £150 - £160 for one of those.

Pixmania have the DFP HERE for £50!

The game was released here before any other regions so I would be surprised if anyone here has an import version.

I raced this spanish guy on the same track about 4 times, he was behind me all race but you could hear him screaching on every corner all race, it was hillarious watching him close right upto the back of me on the enterance to every corner, only for me to leave him in my wake on the exits

I can drive this car online, but I can't share you the decals. In acc. to ferraripro, I will not drive this car often at the moment, in cause of connection problems. All 51 layers (you can't use more layers per side) at the side are used for this design.

I can drive this car online, but I can't share you the decals. In acc. to ferraripro, I will not drive this car often at the moment, in cause of connection problems. All 51 layers (you can't use more layers per side) at the side are used for this design.
All 51 layers
