Going from normal version to Ultimate Box

I got BP on rental a few weeks ago and liked it enough to buy it - went for the Ultimate Box as it was cheaper than the normal version Loaded it up for the 1st time last night, and waited 30 mins+ to download and install the same updates I already had from the normal version. Bit strange I thought, but never mind. Then, when the game started, it showed me the "welcome to Paradise City" bit again. Hold on, I've played for hours on the normal version, why is it showing me this again? Ah I see, it's because my save DOESN'T WORK ON THE ULTIMATE BOX! Who decided to treat the two as separate games? The Ultimate Box is just the original game with some DLC on the disc, why couldn't I carry on my saved game?
Not very chuffed about it, just as well the game is that good I'll enjoy playing through from the start again.

Rant over

Re: Going from normal version to Ultimate Box

I know.... very annoying, thats the reason I havent bought the download version, would mean I wouldnt have to keep putting the disc in but there's probably a reason behind it, I cant imagine they would do it on purpose..
