Hi guys,

Ok, this has been bugging me for sometime.
When i bought 'Burnout Paradise' way back last year i played it alot! i managed to unlock complete alot of the game.
So anyway, when it came to an update that got released as im sure you know, they added trophies to the game! well now i cant unlock any of the trophies because i've already completed them before the update got recieved? why do the trophies not automatically update from the 'save data' to what has been already completed?

I am guessing my best plan of action (if i decided i wanted the trophies) would be to delete my save game data and start again right? but this surely aint going to happen! is there anyother way? i've spent along time on this game

they couldnt get the trophies to be retro-active, they did try but due to the constraints of the system it wasnt possible. so unfortunately you have to redo most of the game from scratch. - if you are much further into the game than the trophies, you can save your game somewhere and redo the game up to the point where you get the trophies you need.

p.s there is a burnout section of the forum; lots of people there will be willing to help you with the challenge trophies.

Aye, it's unfortunate, but the best thing to do is copy your save file to a USB flash drive, then restart the game, get all the trophies and copy the save file back to your hard drive to carry on from where you were before. I think the most time consuming one for me was the Burnout license, which took a fair few weeks (on and off playing), but the rest are good fun and fairly easy to get

yeah, thats the compromise they made, they couldnt make it retroactive so its the easiest platinum you'll ever get.

The only retroactive trophies I am away of are for games that are online scored (so that your game history is stored on a server), eg warhawk has some trophies that are retro.

The reason for this is to stop people sharing their game save and enabling all the trophies....sounds pretty sad to do that but I'm sure there are many many people that are willing to do it.

Thanks for all the replies guys, i appreciated the responses and advice/help.

I will surely try moving my 'save game' data onto a back up usb drive and then start the game again. I'm sure i can pick afew of them (trophies) up no problem!


Got the same problem with trophies with 'Drake's Fortune' but i enjoyed that through the first time so may play it again on a harder difficulty setting.

Hi Moogle, i apoligise.

I was going to post this in the Burnout forum but then figured it could be a universal issue of all ps3 games with trophies. I wanted to remove the word 'burnout, paradise' from the title after posting but couldn't.

Oh yes. Make sure you do this. Play on 'Hard' and then 'Crushing'. It's so enjoyable. Quite difficult in places and gives a real sense of achievement clearing a group of baddies.
