Help setting up network for PS3

Hello all,

I need some help about this. Here's the thing, I live in a college accommodation and get internet using college line by an ethernet port. Unfortunately, as it's a college line, it has its restriction: need a username and password, got security check on antivirus etc. Now, the only way to bypass all that nonsense is by creating an access point through my computer. I've done that before by using a wifi usb dongle on an XP pc and I could connect to the internet on my Wii. The problem now is with my PS3..

I'm using a Vista laptop and I can't create a wireless access point on it. Tutorials I googled mentioned about Vista could share internet by creating ad hoc network but unfortunately, PS3 can't detect ad hoc network. What I need helping is a way to create a wireless access point using my Vista laptop. If I need to buy a router, what type should I need to get so that I can create a wireless access point with it and shared the intenet with my laptop. Fyi, I already used the ethernet port to connect my laptop to the wall socket for my internet.

I don't know what else to do to get my PS3 connects to internet.. T-T
