After searching these forums and the net in general, I have yet to find a solid concrete answer. I basically want to know whether a PSone Classic game bought from the US store is playable on my UK PS3? I'm aware that virtually all PS3 PSN games and demos are not region locked. But considering that PS1 and PS2 game discs are region locked, is this passed over with the PSN content?

I've been waiting patiently for any sign as to whether Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night will be made available for the EU store, but I've heard nothing. And considering that it's been available on the US store since mid-2007, I'm starting to think it will never be made available in the EU store. So before I go and make up a fake name and US address, and spend money on a PSN card, I'd like to know if US bought PSone PSN games will actually work on my UK PS3?

Edit - Got frustrated and decided to take the plunge - The process of buying a $20 PSN card from HD Movie Source was quick and easy, as they emailed me a code within 5 minutes of the online purchase. And then it was just a case of downloading Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night, and keeping my fingers crossed during the initial loading screen... which thankfully booted up without a hitch. And so I'm now able to play a game that I've been eager to play for absolutely ages.

Yeah it works fine. As far as I can see, the NTSC advantage is still there, so faster PSone game and no borders. The borders actuall work in the favour of the PSP though as Zoom mode crops to 16:9 losing a minimum of picture.

Bit of a pain that!

I'm going to buy the US stuff for the speed but will have to put up with fatscreen on the PSP.

Any word on how to transfer saves between PSP <-> PS3?
