Hi, i recently bought a western digital 320 Gb HD in order to upgrade my 40gb ps3. I have replaced it but now when i ran the system a message stated that i had to 'insert storage media that contains update of version 2.60 or later, and then press the start and select buttons at the same time'. What do i have to do? i cant find the 2.60 update online anywhere.

i tried to download that one but it says its the 1.2version on their website. inserted usb into ps3 but still didnt take it and same message came up.

it also says if the system cannot be restarted, the system partition of the hard disk must be reformatted and oyu must reinstall the system software

v1.2 that you mention is the version of the agreement NOT the firmware you are downloading.
