moving abroad

Hi, I've moved to Portugal from England and my PS3 does not work on the TV here, is this due to a difference in the TVs? I use to to run my PS3 through the HDMI connection and optical connection but now I am trying to connect VIA the scart connection so could it be that I am still set up for HDMI? which is why there is no picture or sound? If this is the case how do I change the settings when there is not picture?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks

Re: moving abroad

When you turn on the ps3 do it from the console and not the pad. Hold the power button for about 3-5 seconds - you will hear a series of beeps. This will reset the video ouput settings and should sort you out

Re: moving abroad

Glad to help. Can't help much with the not speaking the language part but the phrase "duas cervejas, por favor" certainly helped me out on holiday in Portugal
