How best to use up £11.51 at the Store?

Right, please help me decide, I'm at a loss about what to do with my £11.51. I've narrowed it down to 4 options:

Option 1
MGS Level Pack for LBP (£4.79) + Linger in Shadows (£1.99) + Snake costume for LBP (£1.59) + Something for under £3.14 (what to get???)

Option 2

MGS Level pack for LBP (£4.79) + MGS Costume pack for LBP (probably going to be £4.39) + Linger in Shadows (£1.99)

Option 3
MGS Level pack for LBP (£4.79) + Snake costume for LBP (£1.59) + Another costume for LBP (£1.59 - which one???) + One of the many £3.49 games (please recommend one )

Option 4
MGS Level pack for LBP (£4.79) + Snake costume for LBP (£1.59) + One of the many £4.99 games (please recommend one )

Once again, thanks for everyone's help

If your a trophy tart then 16 easy trophies in Linger is hard to resist. If your not bothered about trophies avoid it like a plague....waste of time and money.

Personally I think the premium costumes in LBP are a rip off too, something you will barely use...obviously you may thing different, but if they were my options and go for the last one. All depends on your stance on trophies tho

Not sure what games are at £4.99 to recommend tho

From what it sounds like, it's probably best not to get Linger of Shadows, narrowing it down to Option 3 or 4. I'm not really bothered about trophies.
As for LBP costumes, I definitely want the Snake one, don't mind getting another as long as it's good, maybe the Resistance one.
So it all depends on the game - whether the best one to get is £3.49 or £4.99. Have you purchased any of those games and what do you think of them?

Tell me what you are looking at and I shall give my opinion....I think I have most PSN games so should be able to give a reasonable opinion.

I'm really looking for a game that isn't finished too quickly, and that the whole family can play and enjoy. At the moment the only PSN game we have is Super Rub 'a' Dub, and that's great fun for everyone

Re: How best to use up £11.51 at the Store?

Ok having a flick down it depends on if you want a puzzler or not.

Elefunk is pretty good for getting the collective brain cells together, creating a properly constructed bridge for an elephant to cross. Sure there is a demo for it.

Calling all Cars is very good in four player, don't think online is very populated anymore tho but it's a cops and robbers type game, the players are cops and they have to beat each other to get a crook off the street and back to the police station...probably a video of it on youtube.

Pixel Junk Monsters, it is a 1 player but accessible for all, very simple yet addictive game...again I'm sure there is a demo you can check out.

Loco Roco, pretty much six axis prientated and is good fun in short bursts but can get a bit repetative. PSP versions are a hell of a lot better.

Brain Challenge is also pretty good, expect DS/Wii style braon train type stuff. It was £3.99 not so sure now tho....the other two I'm not sure on prices, there are other really good PSN games but are more than a fiver....

Re: How best to use up £11.51 at the Store?

Yeah but why paid for the LBP costumes - the free ones are pretty good and paying for the others adds NOTHING to the gaming experience (bit of a rip off I think).

Might as well get a whole game rather than add's that don't actually add anything to the game?

Think about it you spend the thick end of a fiver (that's a whole PSN game) on custome's to a game that will be gathering dust before the summer?

That's why unless add on's actually add something to the game, levels, missions, tracks they not really worth buying.

Forget the LBP stuff and treat yourself to a new game

Re: How best to use up £11.51 at the Store?

I love LBP, but I agree with what has already been said - I don't see the point in buying costumes when there are some great free ones available. I will be getting the MGS pack for the new levels though.

For PSN games, I recommend The Last Guy & Super Stardust HD - there's hours of fun and lots of replay value in these two.

A few I've recently downloaded are Brain Challenge, Astro Tripper & Crash Commando. Initial impressions are great on all three, but I've not spent more than a couple of hours on each.

I've also got Pixeljunk Eden, but I find it very hard, and quite frustrating due to the time limits on it. It's a good game, but the time issue makes it infuriating. There was supposed to be a patch for this to make it a bit easier, but there's no sign of it depsite the fact it was supposed to be out last week.

You can download demos for a few PSN games like Echocrome, Elefunk and GTI Club+, so you would be best trying them out before deciding to take the plunge on those ones.

From what it sounds like, Super Stardust HD is pretty good. I might go for that. Thanks guys
Yeah, I'm definitely not getting the Costume Pack. However, I'm buying Snake - that's the only Premium costume I'm buying...just can't resist that one

Another vote for the last guy here, I think you can still get the demo to try as well.

Pixeljunk monsters can be two player not just 1, v good imo. Much more fun when you are arguing which towers to build where and fighting over collecting coins

I'd recommend any of Pixeljunk Monsters, FlOw (only £3.49 now, I think), Pixeljunk Eden (a bit frustrating, but excellent soundtrack) and Echochrome. All a bit different from mainstream releases and worth a few hours of enjoyment at least (imho).

Yeah, Echochrome is an interesting concept. I'll probably buy that next time I decide to purchase stuff from the store
For now, I'm addicted to Super Stardust HD
