Sorry if I sound stupid but I can't find Home anywhere. I have got the latest update 2.53, am i missing something?

Is this the first time you have switched on your PS3 for a few days?
If so switch it off and back on and you will find Home icon under Playstation network icon

Have you downloaded folding@home/life with playstation?

Might be something to do with that?

Apart from that I don't know

Edit: just found this on the official PS3 forums.

If you go into the "Playstation Network" menu and find no "Home" icon, there is a solution for you!

I had this problem all last night and then had a brilliant idea based on what people had said about pausing downloads!

(Note: if you have anything downloading already, the home will probably appear when they're all done)



What you have to do is:



1) Go into the Playstation Store

2) Set something small downloading (I used the Alien Versus Predator SD trailer - only 22MB)

3) Set it to download in background

4) Leave the shop and turn off your ps3 BEFORE it has finished downloading

5) Turn the PS3 back on

6) Wait for download to complete

7) Once download has finished, the home icon will be available

I found it now, but when i try to sign in on home it takes ages and then says server connection lost

Servers are taking a hammering, just keep trying you will eventually get home

Im just downloading mine now, seems to be going quick. the download is 77MB so shouldnt take too long.
