I have recently purchased a new PS3 and am now trying to play online with PlayStation Network. I am fine with the networking side (I do IT networking for a living!) However, my broadband connection is only 512Kpbs download/256 Kbps upload...

Does anyone have experience using this speed of broadband line with PlayStation Network and is there anything I should be aware of with this speed of connection?

you should be ok, a ping test is probably more important. try pingtest.net, you should be looking for under 50ms and basically no jitter. i used to have 8meg bb but in new house im currently only getting bout 0.4meg in evenings and their aint much difference, apart from downloading updates of course.
