Unhappy I forgot, I made a mistake, now I fear the consequences.

After a long time without one I bought a PS3 yesterday. Today I tried to get on to the PS3 store but it keeps taking me to the US store.

I e-mailed Sony explaining that I wanted to get to my UK store account so I could download games I'd purchased. I explained that months ago I set up a US store account to download a Demo that wasn't available in the UK store, could they help me retrieve the log in details I need for the UK store. I hit send and then it hit me.

It had been so long I forgot that the way you get a US store acount is by giving a false address. Now I'm bricking it hoping that they don't brick my console as I must have broken a dozen of their user agreement rules by doing this.

I really feel a complete t*t.

Does anyone think they'll help me out and ignore the whole US account thing (I only used it once and just to download a demo) or will they go to the extreme and block my console from online connectivity?

I doubt very much they'll block your console and they definately won't brick it.

However, they might take the view that you've been underhand and got yourself into this mess and therefore not be very helpful. I don't think they can withhold your account details though. Just send in another request and don't mention anything about the US business.

I agree, I would very surprised if they wielded the ban hammer over something as trivial as that. Even if they did, back track and plead ignorance and I am sure they would sort it out.

I think Sony are aware that people have more than one Account for other PSN store's.. as it was only a demo you downloaded they may just ignore it..

i doubt very much they would ban your UK account.. they could however ban your U.S one as you are breaking licensing laws etc but i wouldn't think they would do that either.
