connecting laptop and ps3 same time

connecting laptop and ps3 same time

Hi fellow gamers, my questions is
the dude that came over to set my internet up set my internet up soo no other person or laptop can connect to it ,only my laptop soo one connection at a time... soo if i want to play ps3 online i have to disconnect my laptop... i dont know why he did this...
how do i connect so i can have both connections at the same time? also i live in asia and my internet connection is a bit sloww 512kbps will it splitt that speed ? if i do connect both at the same time? thanks!!!!

I'm not sure about the process of allowing only one device to connect.

If you can gain access to your router settings you could try adding the PS3's MAC address into the allow list and see if that works, assuming you are doing it wirelessly of course. If that is the case it's probably a good bet to try connecting it with an Ethernet cable which should work I believe.

About it slowing down your connection it just depends what you do on the laptop, stuff like downloading or Youtube will slow your connection speed down on the PS3. Especially on a 512 connection I would want it running as fast as possible for online play.
