Help! Friend connection Help!

To the point........

I have a 60gb PS3, on BT Broadband, wired to a BT Homehub 2 router.

My uncle has a 60gb PS3, on BT Broadband, on wireless to a dated BT Voyager router.

I cannot connect to any online games with him, other friends seem to be fine, but, certain people i.e my uncle, It just doesn't wan't to happen.

The annoying thing about it is........he only lives 3 doors away

I'm not sure if it is because we are both on BT Broadband or if it's something to do with our routers in someway. I've tried port forwarding, which i didn't think i needed to do because the connections with most of my friends are fine.
I've been on and off trying to sort this for about a year and a half with no joy

I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar sort of problems and succeeded in fixing any.
Is BT or their Router's known for these sort of problems? If anyone can shed any light on my situation it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance...
