Wired or Wireless

Just wondering if anyone can help me out i have currently have my ps3 wireless however have troubles downloading demos as they fail to in stall.

Would it be possible to connect my modem direct to my ps3 with a ethernet cable and would this help with my download problem.

Before i actually do this, i want to know if it is possible to save the wireless settings that i already have on the ps3 as i cant remember what they are and how i configured it.

Thanks

Yes its possible - actually as with all networks Wired is the prefered option, followed by Homeplugs finally Wireless. Generally wireless should be fine, however wired is generally more stable & quicker 2. Try it - you should find that things will download quicker 2.

Not sure - i believe so. Even if it don't all you need is the sercurity code which should be on the back of your router and just setup again using auto settings.

Re: Wired or Wireless

Just to add to above post: I don't think you will lose your wireless settings by plugging in the ethernet cable, if I am correct, the PS3 will remember the settings.

I switched from wireless to wired and it cured my lag problems in online games....

Re: Wired or Wireless

Hard wire the ps3 will solve the issues. The ps3's wifi thingy is for a better word crap! Having it wireless caused me all sorts of issues and streaming HD movies was almost none existant.
