Hi All
Having loads of problems connecting to play games such as COD4 & COD5, Resistance 2 among others. I just cannot seem to connect to play online.
Now this has all started since my old router failed. I now have a NETGEAR DG834PN. Whilst browsing the interweb from PC and laptops is no problem, the gaming is - so it must be a port/IP address issue!
I have at two laptops, 1 PC, 1 PS3 and 1 wireless printer, all connected wirelessly. Everything works as advertised apart from the online gaming thing!
And boy is this frustrating. I have read something about DMZ or port forwarding but unfortunately I know too little about these to try to solve the problem. I have been through the wireless set up on the PS3a couple times, and still get the error. I can see the PS3 on the network router pages too!
I am with Virgin Broadband if this is any help!
Please please anyone shed any light on this. Prior to my old router failing, everything worked handsomely!
MAny thanks in advance
Matty
