Hopefully I'll try to make sense of what I'm trying to do !!!

I logged into PSN yesterday for the first time in ages. I know you can now view trophies etc online but I understand you have to register a new profile first. After that when you log in you can transfer details from your old account by putting your old username and password in.

I started to follow the process yesterday but it tells me to set up a 'master' account ? I assume this would mean my original one would be a sub master ?

I dont have a problem with that but how would that, if at all, affect my log in information on my PS3 ? I only have myself as the main user plus one other. Would I need to change anything on the PS3 or is that completely separate
