Hi,
I am new to this forum and am at my wits end with the arguments between my daughter (on the PC) and my son (PS3). My lad wants to go on COD4 and my daughter wants to browse the internet at the same time, problem is, she can browse quite happily, however, he cannot play COD4. He can get online fine, get in the games fine but as soon as the games start the lag is an absolute joke, practically impossible to play and the replays on the killcam are so not what we are seeing on our screen.
I am sure this issue has been raised on the forum somewhere, however, i cannot find anything.
I am not a big techy when it comes to computers and settings. The PS3 is hard wired into the router. Is there a quick fix to this? What causes this to happen? Any information would be great otherwise COD - Modern Warfare 2 is going to be taking place in my house between my kids!!

hi ben your two chrildren should be able to both go online no problem as i play cod4 on ps3 while my girl plays lbp on her ps3 as i download with no problems,the problem could be with your set up what speeds are you getting from your isp what router have you got .

I have a belkin ADSL+2 Modem with Wireless router and not sure about the ISP speed. Thing is COD4 plays as smooth as anything on the PS3 both with wireless connection or wired connection as long as the PC or laptop is not on at the same time, as soon as Internet explorer is opened on the laptop or PC, the game just lags chronic.

I get the same problem whenever my brother starts streaming video from the net. Somehting I was wondering about but not got around to trying is would it be possible to throttle the bandwidth the PC is using? The PC would still be able to access the net albeit at a slower speed, could possible free up the bandwidth the PS3 is needing?
