my son has been bugging me to sort his wireless PS3 connection to the internet so at the weekend I bought a new top of the range Netgear router, faster, stronger, quicker etc etc. I have tried turing the security off completely on the router but the PS3 still doesn't see it. On one occasion it almost got it, with a signal strength of 2%, but then dropped out. On reading the forum it appears that one option is to connect it using the ethernet cable first, so that the PS3 becomes familiar with the new router (?) and then to go wireless?
