PS3 slim-help needed for best set up...please

Hi all. I got the new ps3 slim on Friday and would like to hook it up to the ps network.
I have my broadband upstairs hard wired to my pc.My modem is supplied by Virgin and has only one ethernet out connection which goes directly into my pc.My ps3 is downstairs played on the main tv and as yet not hooked up to broadband.

QUESTIONS

1) Am i correct in thinking that i will need a wireless router as i dont want to hard wire to downstairs but i would like to keep my pc hardwired?

2)Do wireless routers take the ethernet connection from the modem and allow me to still hardwire my pc upstairs through an in/out ethernet connection somewhere on the router ?

3)Would this allow both the pc and ps3 to access the broadband at the same time.(e.g. wife upstairs on ebay & myself to be playing badly against americans online)?

4)If i do need a wireless router can any one suggest one at a decent price?Do i need a G or N or N150 router?

Thank you for reading, and cheers in advance to those who take time out to answer these questions.

Hi,

1. Yes
2. Yes, it will have a switch built in that you can add wired PC's
3. Yes, you can use it both at once, however you may get lag when gaming etc.
4. As far as I know the PS3 slim is only 54G, so going and getting an N router would be no real benefit apart from future proofing.

Best Regards

Chris
