PS3 can't find network with security enabled?

Hi I have a strange issue with my ps3 network connection.

I have just got a new belkin N1+ modem router. I have managed to connect 2 laptops and my 360 to it wirelessley (although the 360 complains of NAT issues - any help on that would also be handy). However the issue i'm having with the ps3 is very strange.

If I turn off network security, then the ps3 can auto detect and connect to the network no problem. However as soon as I turn on WPA/WPA-2 or WEP, the ps3 cannot even find the network, let alone try and connect. Any ideas what this could be about? I currently have it hard wired up the router and it's ok, but the fact I cant do it wirelessly seems really weird.

I've tried changing channels which didnt work. Also im getting an error code 8013013d , which i believe to be a security issue.

Does anyone have any idea how to get this working? I have little to no experience of static ip's and such so if you give any advise aim it for dummies! :-)

Thanks very much guys.

Bump,

Has anyone got any ideas? Still not working. I've tried assigning a manual IP to the PS3 but it fails the connection test at the 'obtain an IP' stage.

Hi Sam thanks for the reply.

How do I go about doing that? I cant remember there being a media server setting (although I havent tried fiddling around with it for a few days).

Re: PS3 can't find network with security enabled?

Hi Sam, i'm afraid its still not working, but something interesting is happening. Previously, once the initial wireless connection failed at the security code point, then afterward the ps3 wouldn't even find the network when I tried again. But after disabling the media server option it still sees the network (100% connection) even after the security part fails. Unfortunately each time I still cant get it past this bit!

Tomorrow I'm going to try to change to WEP or maybe use a shorter WPA/WPA2 password, as I've heard these can both sometimes get it to work.

Re: PS3 can't find network with security enabled?

Well that didnt work. The only thing that has worked momentarily is ive disabled security and used MAC blocking to allow only my devices to use the network. This worked for a while until I tried to turn media server options back on on the ps3, then it dropped out. Its all sooo frustrating! To make things worse the ethernet cable isnt being detected anymore by the ps3 either!
