Please help ps3 hmdi connection

Please help ps3 hmdi connection

Hello All,

trying to connect ps3 via HDMi to 720p/1080i LCD TV.

I am able to see the home menu and I can access the settings and such. but when i go to game and click the game i want to play (COD4) I have no luck.

I have restored the system to defualt settings to no luck!

can anybody help?

was able to just play cod4 and sf4 but now as i've gone to quit game the screen has gone blank again!
could it be something to with hdmi cable?
the blank screen is emitting a tut noise evry few seconds:S
can anybody help?

just tried the hdmi with my bluray player and it works fine.

can anybody help please?

Reset Video Output

If you are changing cables or cannot see an image on the screen, you may need to reset the video output to default settings. To reset the video output:

While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the PLAYSTATION 3 beeps twice (approximately 5 seconds), then release it.

The PLAYSTATION 3 will power up, the Video Output Settings will automatically reset to the standard resolution (or detect the current display output settings of your TV/monitor).

i think i am suffering from a handshake issue?
if i press tv n then av it seems 2 work. its very annoying but it's better than nothing.

it's all connected proper and i am able to play games but i usually have to well i always have to press tv & then av n choose hdmi port1 for it to work.

it's very annoying.
do you think you might know whats causing this?
