Mid-life Crisis! netgear router to ps3 set up?

Question Mid-life Crisis! netgear router to ps3 set up?

Hi hope u can help. I am a middle aged novice but have just bought ps3 and have netgear router supplied by virgin media with motorola modum. When i try to set the ps3 online it recognises my name and connection but asks for WPA key? Dont know what it is or where i get it? My initial broadband was bluyonder now taken over by Virgin. Can anyone advise please. Thanks

You should be able to access your router usually by typing in 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of Firefox / IE etc., you will probably need to enter a username and password, for Netgear routers they are usually - username = admin | password = password

Once logged into your router you should be able to change the WPA key to something you will remember. However if your PC connects wirelessly also, you will need to re-edit your profile details on your PC with the new WPA key you have entered.
