Connecting 2 PS3 To One Network

I thought I was lucky enough to own two PS3s until my misses downloaded Mahjong

Gone have the days on Scissors, Paper, Stone to resolve any adult "disputes", now I'm being challenged to this mind numbingly boring game

Only thing is we can't get online at the same time (which I don't see a problem with) but the misses has insisted I "fix it". As soon as the second PS3 logs on the other disconnects so if anyone knows how we can get around this and more importantly HOW TO WIN AT MAHJONG then I'd be really thankful

Re: Connecting 2 PS3 To One Network

Do you mean signing in on the the same PSN ID or account? Can't be done, as soon as the second PS logs in the first one is signed out. If you mean using different PSN account IDs such as "Genie 1" and "Mrs Genie 1" there shouldn't be an issue with both being signed in at once.

There are some games that you won't be able to play each other though. Don't know about Majhong (you poor guy ) but Worms for example kicks one of the 2 PS3s on the same network teams out the game as soon as Start Game is pressed, I've read elsewhere on here it's something to do with way game uses Ports for comms etc but couldn't say and out my league there. A search would probably find the posts on that though.

As for winning, just try and give a very subtle air of your letting the good lady win as that's the gentlemanly thing to do but you could crush her like a fly really. If you manage that lemme know how to do it, being trying to master it for ages when she hands my ass to me at High Velocity Bowling and Guitar Hero

Re: Connecting 2 PS3 To One Network

We both have seperate accounts.

We attempted it before and we could both sign in but as soon as any game was loaded up one was disconnected.

Will be giving this another crack this afternoon.

As for the Mahjong I'm sticking with the "I can crush her like a fly really" idea as it makes me feel better

Let us know how you get on Genie, I am about to buy a second PS3 so my lad will leave mine alone, hoping to get us both online when MW2 is released.

We got it working on Saturday and I'm hoping it not a one off

I had to set one of them in DMZ which wasn't as complicated as I'd feared as it was just a tick box in the router setup (I'm with VM)

We've only played some PSN games and we didn't disconnect once but I got pwnd at Mahjong though, but on flip side she used my account and I used hers so she got me some trophies I'd never get
