HELP!! Cant gain access to singstar.

Can anyone help, i have just downloaded a system update, then tried to load singstar. It then says that an update for the game has been found so it will update the game. But it says please wait and then the console seems to just crash and then I cant do anything with it. Please help, MRS is doin my head in.
