PS2 Singstar Disks on PS3 problem

Hi Guys, we have some PS2 singstar discs. They play fine, until we try to do medleys. This results in a freeze, and having to reset the PS3. Is this a problem for anyone else?

Yes, we are getting this problem as well. At first I thought it was just sorting which songs to use but after about 5 minutes it was clearly not going to do anything

This happens when a PS2 disc is inserted by pressing select on a PS3 disc and swapping them over...I haven't tried it by starting the PS2 disc in the PS3 first though.

Thats the only way to play the PS2 discs unless you have one of the older 60GB PS3s.

Glad its not just me with this problem though.

Luckily, (or not!) I have a launch 60GB PS3 so it can run PS2 discs no problem.

I haven't had chance to check to see if it works ok when running the PS2 disc on it's own as I have been formatting a 500GB hard drive for my PS3 and it took 30 odd hours.

I will check to see if it still happens after loading the PS2 disc on it's own,
although I suspect this will work ok.
