Using multiple volumes of Singstar on PS3

I'm a bit confused as to how the different volumes of Singstar work on the PS3. I only own Vol. 1, but what would happen if I buy any of the other volumes? If I put vol 2 into the drive to play it, are the vol 1 songs still available? If not, is there a way to make them available? What happens with ABBA etc? And finally what about downloaded SingStore songs, are they useable in every volume?

TIA and all that

Nope, don't think so. You have to change the disk.

this is made easier by pressing "Select" from the song carousel, this then lets you insert another disk without quitting the game

Any tracks you download from SingStore are available at all times. Otherwise you have to have the correct disc in the machine to access a particular song. Its fairy painless to swap discs using the Select button. You can also use PS2 singstar discs but they are a little slower to access.

Re: Using multiple volumes of Singstar on PS3

Sorry if in wrong place but I'm new to this Singstar stuff.
My wife has just bought a PS2 Singstar game and it will be played on original 60GB PS3.

If she wanted to add songs by downloading, how does she do that?
Does she do it through the game or via the Singstar website and then upload from USB stick?

Is she then able to download any songs, stick in any disc and then they are playable or is it game specific? ie. only Vol 2 downloadable songs will work with Vol 2 disc??

Can songs for PS2 discs be downloaded via PS3?

Sorry for being a numpty but any help/advice would be appreciated.
I have been searching around but I'm not getting the answers I'm after.

Re: Using multiple volumes of Singstar on PS3

You need a PS3 Singstar game in order to be able to download more tracks via the singstore.

I think you can still use the PS2 disc on the PS3 as you say you have an original (launch day) PS3 with Backwards Compatibility.

If you want to purchase additional songs from the Singstore then you will need a proper PS3 version of Singstar.

Oh, and yes, you have posted in the wrong place
