Lyrics should be in the middle, as Blue has an advantage!

I don't play Singstar very often, but when we have friends round, it occasionally comes out... And each time, my other half moans, becuase "its not fair". And to be honest, she has a point.. Because the lyrics are at the bottom, the blue player has the advantage, as they can see the 'graph' and the lyrics by looking in the same area of the screen, where as the red player has to keep glancing up and down!

Maybe the size of my screen doesn't help (50") but in her defence, I have to agree that its not entirly fair.. Ideally, they should have put the lyrics in the middle of the screen.

What does everyone else think? Are we the only people to think this?

Jon

Swap mics. Take it in turns singing blue and red.

We've not had any problems but then we tend to learn the lyrics. Try singing songs you know most of the words to. And stand further back from the TV if you can.

I think there is definately an advantage on songs you don´t know that well. On songs you know inside out it makes no diff as you never look at the lyrics anyway!!!

I still lose to my GF tho, no matter what mic it is, having the words closer to the notes makes no difference when even if i put my tender parts in an iron vice, I still wouldn´t hit those stupid erasure high notes!!! (Fortunately I worked out how to them hit them an octave lower, although it still sound crap!)

I tried for ages to match the sound of the song with my voice to no avail but now have found that you don't need to and it is do-able with a lower sound.
