I have the first singstar game on ps3 and am planning on getting the others shortly. Is it the same as the Ps2 version in that once i have loaded the game from the first one i can then put in the other discs and the songs from all the discs will appear?

Also, can i access my downloaded songs from any of the discs?

Infact you can even swap in PS2 discs after you have loaded PS3 Singstar if you have a 60GB PS3.

Well, not yet. Only when the patch becomes available.

On my 60 GB PS3 i have used PS2 singstar discs and they worked perfectly. Also the downloaded tracks remained selectable.

Old 60 GB PS3 has inbuilt PS2 compatibility.

how does the game loading thing work?
Are you saying if you put in volume 1 load the game up then swap the disc with volume 2 you will be able to see vol 1 & 2 songs together? does it do this automatically?

No. What it means that is that you can load up Vol 1, and if you decide there is a track on Vol 2 that you suddenly want to play, you can do so without having to eject Vol 1 and then load up Vol 2. Disc swapping takes about 30 seconds.

When you do the disc swap, all the tracks from the Vol 1 disc disappear from the carosel and are replaced by those from, in this example, Vol 2. Any tracks you have purchased from the SingStore will still be there.

The last time I checked it didn't work
You had to quit the PS3 game and load the PS2 version of the game to get the songs on the PS2 disc.

Have I missed an update or something?
The last I heard we were still waiting for the update to enable this.
