Singstar Abba, will you be getting it?

Hi,
I see Singstar Abba is out next Friday, it's listed as £39.99 on the Game website which seems a bit of a rip off! Shopto have it at £22.99 with a RRP of £24.99 which seems more likely. I guess I'll have to get it cos it'll go down a storm at Xmas!
The kids haven't stopped singing / playing Abba since they saw Mamma Mia so needless to say I think they'll love this too. Only problem is they're all more suited to the female singer really aren't they, don't think it'll stop me having a go though!

Cheers
Andy

Re: Singstar Abba, will you be getting it?

Was going to start a thread to ask a question but maybe someone can answer here. Getting a PS3 for christmas and thinking of getting Singstar for a new years eve party. Not that fussed about Vol 1 and 2 but thinking of getting the abba game with 2 microphones for my wife. Will it be a stand alone game (and have access to the singstar store) or will I still have to buy any of the volumes to access the store ( as I would rather buy individual songs than songs on 1&2)

Thanks in advance.

The same game but just with abba songs, to be honest if you haven't already got a ps3 and sing star you might be better of getting the VOL 1, 2 or 3 and maybe the ABBA as a solos.
It is more money but better songs as in variety or just get one of the VOL's and d/l songs from the store there are over 200.

But if your really in to ABBA then the game and mic's package will be fine.

Re: Singstar Abba, will you be getting it?

Will be getting VOL,3 and probably the ABBA one as a stocking filler for my better half, doesn't really mater to me as I can't sing for toffee. But it goes down well at party/invite nights.

Didn't realise that vol 3 was so soon. Looking at the track list, I will probably get that with the microphones bundled and get the abba game as a solos

Thanks

I've fallen into the same trap
I'm not much into ABBA TBH but the kids haven't shut up about it since watching Mamma Mia too

So guess it will make a good stocking filler.

My sister will be getting the ABBA version soi can play that around her house.

I'll be picking up Singstar Vol.3 and Disney Sing it. I have a feeling the Disney sing it ones are a completely different company to the regular Singstar games

Yep, they have nothing to do with Sony or London Studios whatsoever. They're published by Disney Interactive Studios.

Thanks for this, I had placed a pre order with play.com as I thought that £17.99 was a good price. Have now cancelled this and put in an order from Lovefilm. Not too sure if quidco will work, as when you follow the link it says that if you use a code quidco will not track, bonus if it does though. Thanks again.

I've just ordered it using the 10% code at Lovefilm. £16.14 delivered. Not bad for all those Christmas nights in on the beer.

Ordered my copy from HMV:

"Your order’s in the post, and should be with you soon. In case you need them, here are the details:"

"Qty Format Artist Title Price Estimated Times

Should be with me on Saturday or Monday then!

For the wife of course!

Re: Singstar Abba, will you be getting it?

Picked it up yesterday.

In the complete sea of apathy around the PS3 this is actually the first software title that has really had me darting out to buy it rather than 'well if there is nothing else...'.

I'd said for a long time in and around that they should do an ABBA targetted version of this, or rock band, etc as it would be minted. In fact I will be very suprised if this does not end up one of the top playstation console titles of the year especially with all the Christmas party thoughts starting to come together.

The outrageous success of Mamma Mia recently just shows the level of ABBA mania that has bubbled around for years and years... I may strongly believe Sony and co. deserve a good kicking at every opportunity but this is a damn good move.

Abba singstar with mics? Differences vol 1,2 & 3?

Hello.
I'm after Abba singstar for Xmas present. I have no mics or other singstar discs. Looking at each volume 1, 2 and 3 I'm maybe tempted by the tracks on one of them Vol 2 I think and can obviously find that with microphone bundle.
However, I think I'd prefer just the Abba one and then download tracks via singstore.
Does anyone know of where I can get Abba and mic bundle?

Also is there any difference between volumes 1,2 and 3 besides the song list?

Thanks
Frank.

I've had the same problem with Lovefilm - still not received it and they are blaming their supplier.

Re: Singstar Abba, will you be getting it?

£50 are they having a laugh?!

Atleast the bundle does exist and thanks for the info, but 50 big ones for it is a joke.
Amazon I see are doing pre-orders (release 21 Nov) on stand alone wired singstar microphones for £18. Couple that with Abba on its own at £18 (Amazon price) and you have both for £36.

Hmmm £36 two packets or £50 one? Hmm its a tuffy.

I'm getting this for the wife (yeah yeah I love an Abba singalong meself) as a Xmas present.I 'm thinking I just gotta buy a couple of Abba style cheapo wigs!

I can see it now... slightly merry... rosy cheeks... long blonde wig... tinsle wrapped scarf effect... Abba blasting out... our kids cracking up with laughter... yup... one for the video camera methinks!

Re: Singstar Abba, will you be getting it?

Welp, I's got mine!
I got Vol 2 with mics and Abba solus in the end.
Have ordered a couple of wigs from Sureshots fancy dress website. Heres the two wigs... SureShots Fancy Dress Glamour Wig 25357 and the other one SureShots Fancy Dress Starlet Wig 25407
Prices of the wigs are cheap enough it makes it worth the money for the state we're gonna look! Should be a good laugh.

Re: Singstar Abba, will you be getting it?

I love the singstar games as they're great fun with the family. I'm getting Vol.3 for christmas and my sister is getting the ABBA version as i wouldn't mind a copy for myself

I also wanted to get the Disney Sing It (High school musical one) but refuse to pay £30 for a game that's not even a proper singstar game. I'll wait for the price to drop on that
